This is our 61st year after we got independence from British rule.
we are slowly forgetting the pains of our freedom fighters and started enjoying our freedom. This is natural, we can only focus when we are forced to do so. We will pray to god, only when we are in desperation. I have been thinking what makes Indian freedom revolution special ? because there were so, many revolutions all over the world through out the history.
Is it non-violence ? yes, but it has more to it…
It is togetherness. people always quarrel because of different opinions, it is the basic thing, whether it is religion, politics, etc. India is a large country and here people are diverse, they all have different opinions and different lifestyles. Thats what made “dive and conquer” rule a success. But, mahatma Gandhi tried to eradicate the difference in people through non-violence, that what makes indian freedom revolution a special.
I often hear people making fun of our freedom fighters, abusing them, etc. I would only ask one question to them ?
Did you contribute anything to the country ?
if not, you dont have any right to criticize others
if yes, then you haven’t contributed enough…
After all these years, our country has two progressions. 1) we are again falling back, fighting with each other, etc. At the same time, 2) our country is progressing rapidly, we can be the elite force in the future.
I would like to see, which one will dominate the other
